Can I bring my well behaved dog with me provided she is kept on a lead?

The 25km hike is mostly over Colin Glen Trust and National Trust Land and neither of these organisations ban dogs. However, the Mountain Rescue Team cannot accept any liability for dogs, our priority is for the safety of walkers, other land users and the livestock which uses the hills.

i completely understand that you cannot accept liability for dogs, if you are saying that they can be brought on the walk will they be allowed on the bus to the starting point?

Jonathan, We will allow well behaved dogs on the transport to the starting point. As you might expect we would require that dog owners leash dogs if asked to do so by a Team member.
